What is a roll neck jumper?
A roll neck jumper is pretty much what it says on the tin. Often crafted from a light, breathable cotton or wool blend, it features a tubular neck that sits snugly right up to the jawline and is rolled down to create an overlap. Roll neck jumpers also come as thicker, cable knits that are ideal for when the weather turns.
What is a mock neck jumper?
While the roll neck is often worn in more formal occasions, the mock neck delivers warmth in a much more relaxed manner. Sitting lower than a roll neck but slightly higher than a crew, they're a great option if you don't want to fully commit to a roll neck but still want to feel put together. How to style roll necks and mock necks
A roll neck is the smarter of the two, often worn under a suit or on it's own paired with a tailored trouser. Try it in place of a shirt on smarter occasions - just make sure you only roll the neck down twice, as it could appear bulky and ruin the sleek silhouette.
Due to the casual nature of the mock neck, you can pair them with pretty much anything this season. Double up on your knitwear by throwing a cardigan over one, or soften a tailored look with a mock neck in a similar tone to your suit.
